Assets library
The shared home for every image and video you use in Zalify — upload or save once, then reuse across emails, popups, forms, and Canvas work.
The Assets library is the shared home for every image and video you use in Zalify — files you upload plus the results you save from AI generation. Anything in the library is available across your designs: email templates, popups and forms, and future work in Z1 Canvas. Upload or save once, reuse everywhere.
Where to find it
The Assets library is part of Z1 Canvas.
You also meet the library implicitly whenever an editor asks you to pick an image: the picker in the email, popup, and form editors draws from the same library.
Uploading assets
- Open the Assets library.
- Use the upload action, or drag files in from your computer.
- Wait for the upload to finish; the file appears in your library and is immediately usable in any editor.
Supported formats and size limits
| Type | Supported formats | Max file size |
|---|---|---|
| Images | — | — |
| Videos | — | — |
If an upload is rejected, check the format and size against this table first — converting to a common format (JPG/PNG for images, MP4 for video) resolves most rejections.
Assets from AI generation
Images and videos you generate in Images & Videos aren't automatically kept — you save the ones you want to the library. Once saved, they behave exactly like uploaded files. See Generating images with AI and Generating videos with AI.
Organizing your library
A library you can navigate in six months is worth a little discipline now:
- Name assets descriptively at upload or save time — "q3-sale-hero-1200px" beats "final-final-2". Editors show assets in a grid, and names are how you tell similar images apart.
- Group related assets.
- Prune old campaign assets periodically so the picker stays fast to scan. Before deleting, make sure the asset isn't used in a live design.
Using assets in your designs
- Emails: add an image block in the email editor and pick from the library. See Designing emails in the editor.
- Popups and forms: same flow in the Popups & Forms editor. See Creating a form or popup.
- Canvas work: reuse existing assets as inputs or references when generating and editing in Images & Videos.
Because designs pull from the shared library, a well-stocked library is what makes new designs fast: most of an email is assembled from assets you already have.
Brand Kit vs. Assets
Your logo, brand colors, and fonts live in the Brand Kit, not the Assets library. The distinction: Brand Kit holds your identity (applied automatically to templates and AI generation), while Assets holds your content (pictures and clips you place by hand). Upload campaign photography to Assets; set your logo in the Brand Kit.
Troubleshooting
- Upload fails: check format and file size against the table above, then try a smaller or converted file.
- An asset doesn't appear in the editor's picker: confirm the upload completed, then refresh the editor.
- Image looks blurry in an email: the source file may be smaller than the space it's placed in — upload a larger version and swap it in.
