Set Up LinkedIn Pixel (Insight Tag)
Create LinkedIn conversions, copy each Conversion ID, and paste them into Zalify to track conversions on your Shopify store — no code required.
LinkedIn uses the Insight Tag plus conversions you define in Campaign Manager. Each conversion has a numeric Conversion ID. In Zalify you paste a primary Conversion ID and, optionally, a Conversion ID for each ecommerce event — Zalify fires them for you, so you don't need to add LinkedIn's script to your Shopify theme.
Prerequisites
- A LinkedIn Campaign Manager account with the Insight Tag enabled.
- Zalify installed on your Shopify store with Zalify Pixels enabled (app embed).
Step 1: Create conversions and copy each Conversion ID
- In Campaign Manager, open Analyze → Conversion tracking.
- Click Create conversion, choose the event-specific conversion that matches each ecommerce action, and finish the setup.
- Open each conversion you created — its numeric Conversion ID is shown in the conversion's details (and in its URL). Copy each ID.
Create one conversion per action you want to track:
| Zalify field | LinkedIn conversion |
|---|---|
| Conversion ID | Your primary conversion (usually Purchase) |
| View content | View content / Product view |
| Add to cart | Add to cart |
| Begin checkout | Begin checkout / Initiate checkout |
| Purchase | Purchase |
| Sales - Subscribe | Subscribe (if you track subscriptions) |
Step 2: Enter values in Zalify and save
- Open the Zalify Dashboard → Pixels → LinkedIn Pixel.
- Click Add Pixel.
- Title — a friendly name (e.g.
LinkedIn). - Conversion ID — paste your primary Conversion ID from Step 1.
- View content / Add to cart / Begin checkout / Purchase / Sales - Subscribe — paste each matching Conversion ID (optional, but recommended for full reporting).
- Turn Enabled on, then click Save.
Tip
Keep the mapping aligned — put the Purchase Conversion ID in Purchase, cart adds in Add to cart, and so on. Mismatched IDs break reporting and optimization.
Verify and troubleshoot
- Install the LinkedIn Insight Tag Helper Chrome extension and browse your storefront to confirm the tag loads.
- In Campaign Manager, check that the Insight Tag status shows Active and conversions show Receiving data (data can be delayed).
- If another app or theme also loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag, you may get duplicate counting — prefer a single implementation.
