AI Chats
Zalify's built-in AI assistant drafts emails and popups from a plain-language description and answers questions about your workspace's data.
Chats is Zalify's built-in AI assistant. You describe what you want in plain language, and it can do two kinds of work for you: generate — turn an idea into a draft email or popup — and answer — respond to questions about your workspace's data. This article covers both, how conversations are saved, usage limits, and — importantly — what the assistant can and cannot do.
Generating emails and popups from an idea
Instead of starting a design from a blank canvas, you can describe the outcome you want:
- Open Chats.
- Describe what you want to create — for example, "a welcome email for new subscribers with a 10% discount code" or "an exit-intent popup offering free shipping."
- The assistant generates a draft. Review it in the conversation.
- Take the draft into the editor to refine it.
The more context you give, the better the first draft: mention the audience, the offer, the tone, and any must-include details. Generated designs draw on your Brand Kit, so keeping your logo, colors, and fonts up to date at /brand-kit improves every draft — see Brand Kit.
Treat generated drafts as a starting point, not a finished send. Always review copy, links, and merge tags before an email goes out — see Designing emails in the editor.
Asking questions about your data
The assistant can also answer questions about your workspace — the data that Ana and Reach already hold. For example: how a recent broadcast performed, what your traffic looked like this week, or which products are selling.
Answers are only as good as the underlying data. If the pixel isn't installed or was installed recently, data questions will come back thin — see Installing the Zalify pixel. For decisions that matter, verify the numbers in the Ana report the answer is based on: start with the Analytics overview.
What Chats can and cannot do
Set your expectations here before relying on the assistant.
It can:
- Draft emails and popups from a written description, using your Brand Kit.
- Answer questions about your workspace's existing data.
- Keep the thread of a conversation, so you can iterate ("make it shorter", "try a different subject line").
It cannot:
- Send anything on its own. Generated emails and popups are drafts. Publishing a popup or sending a broadcast is always a separate, explicit action you take.
- See data Zalify doesn't have. It can't report on channels, stores, or time periods your workspace isn't tracking, and it has no knowledge of the wider internet or your competitors' numbers.
- Guarantee accuracy. Like any AI system, it can occasionally misread intent or produce an answer that doesn't hold up. Cross-check important figures in Ana and proofread generated copy before it ships.
- Change settings or delete data. Workspace administration stays in Settings, done by you.
If an answer looks wrong, rephrase the question with more specifics (exact metric, date range, campaign name) — vague questions get vague answers.
Conversations are saved
Your conversations are saved automatically, so you can close Chats mid-thread and pick it up later, or scroll back to a draft the assistant produced last week. Start a new conversation for a new topic rather than mixing unrelated requests in one thread — it keeps the assistant's context clean and your history easy to search.
Usage limits
AI usage is limited depending on your plan. If you hit a limit, see Usage, credits and auto top-up and Plans and what's included for how to increase it.
