Connect Claude and other AI apps (MCP)

Connect Claude, Claude Code or another MCP app to your Zalify workspaces with your Zalify sign-in, choose which workspaces it may use, and disconnect it at any time.

Zalify runs an MCP server at https://app.zalify.com/api/mcp. AI apps that support MCP, such as Claude and Claude Code, can connect to it with your Zalify account. Once connected, you can ask the app about your customers, broadcasts, automations and attribution, and have it prepare email drafts for you. Sending email stays in Zalify.

Before you start

  • Plan: connecting apps is available on Starter and above. Workspaces on the Free plan are shown on the sign-in screen but can't be selected.
  • Access: the app acts as you. It can use only the workspaces you choose when you connect, and only what you can do in them yourself.
  • Server URL: select MCP in the top bar of the Zalify app, or Connected apps in your account menu at the top right. The page shows the URL with a copy button, plus the Claude Code command.

Connect Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app)

1

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

2

Name it Zalify and paste the server URL https://app.zalify.com/api/mcp, then choose Connect.

3

Sign in to Zalify if you're asked to. The Connect Claude to Zalify screen lists what Claude will be able to do and your workspaces.

4

Tick the workspaces Claude may use. Your active workspace is ticked for you, and you can choose several. Then select Allow.

5

Back in Claude, try a question such as "List my Reach lists in Zalify."

Connect Claude Code

1

Add the server in a terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http zalify https://app.zalify.com/api/mcp
2

Start Claude Code, run /mcp, choose zalify and then Authenticate.

3

Your browser opens the Zalify sign-in. Tick the workspaces and select Allow, then return to Claude Code.

Note: For scripts and CI, where nobody can sign in through a browser, Claude Code and other MCP clients can send a Zalify key instead: a CLI key from zalify login, or a workspace API key from the Developer page, as an Authorization: Bearer header.

Connect another MCP app

Apps that support remote MCP servers with sign-in connect the same way: add a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the URL https://app.zalify.com/api/mcp. The app opens the Zalify sign-in, where you choose workspaces and allow the connection.

What a connected app can do

What it covers
ReadCustomers and their activity, customer lists and segments, broadcasts, email automations and their sending statistics, attributed revenue by channel or campaign, converted orders and the visits that led to them, and visit sessions with their events
DraftCreate an empty customer list, copy a broadcast into a new draft, and change a draft's subject, preheader, audience or planned send time

A connected app can't send email or submit a broadcast for sending, spend ad budget, or change billing, members or settings. Those stay in Zalify. Zalify keeps a record of every action a connected app takes.

When an app can use several workspaces, it asks Zalify for the list and then works in the one you name. If it isn't sure which one you mean, tell it the workspace name.

Change workspaces or disconnect

1

Select MCP in the top bar, or Connected apps in your account menu. Your connections lists the apps you connected, the workspaces each can use, when you connected it and when it was last active.

2

Select Disconnect next to the app. It loses access straight away, and it will ask you to sign in again the next time you use it.

3

To change which workspaces an app can use, connect it again. The sign-in screen shows your current choice, which you can change before you select Allow.

Each person sees and manages only the apps they connected themselves.

Troubleshooting

  • I can't select a workspace. It's on the Free plan. Connecting apps needs Starter or above.
  • The app says it has no workspace it can use. The workspaces you allowed were removed, or you left them. Connect the app again and choose a workspace.
  • The app keeps asking me to sign in. The connection was disconnected, or it expired after 30 days without use. Connect it again.
  • The app asks which workspace to use. You allowed several. Name the workspace in your request.
