What is an Action?
An Action is what Zalify actually does when a trigger fires — show a popup, add to a list, send a conversion.
An Action is what Zalify does in response to a Trigger — the "do that" part of the sentence.
In plain terms
An Action is the "what happens." Once a trigger decides the moment is right, the action is the actual result the visitor or you experience:
- Show a popup
- Add someone to a List
- Forward a conversion to Meta, Google, or TikTok
- Start an email Automation
- Copy a coupon code, spin a prize wheel, or grant tracking consent
Why it matters
Actions are where the value shows up — the popup that captures an email, the conversion that teaches your ad platform who to target, the journey that recovers a sale. A trigger without an action does nothing; the action is the payoff.
Trigger + Action, together
Remember the sentence from Trigger:
When (trigger) this happens, do (action) that.
An Event is the "this happened," a Trigger is the "when," and an Action is the "do that." One trigger can run several actions at once.
How it connects
Actions are fired by Triggers. When several actions run in sequence over time — email, wait, email again — that larger journey is an Automation.
